GOVERNOR NEWS
The Oak Hill School Governors met at the end of last month. The Governors welcomed Rob Hainsworth, who has been appointed as a Community Governor. He replaces Andrew Cocks who has become an associate Governor; in this role Andrew will continue to liaise between the School and Alderton Parish Council, which is very valuable.
As well as hearing the usual committee reports, the Governors discussed the L.A. Disability Equality Action Plans, the School Profile and the School Development Plan. Jane Birch reported on the progress of the School Travel Plan and Rev. Poole led a training exercise looking at Church School Distinctiveness. Mrs McMurray reported on school activities and staff training and took the Governors through the School’s Self-Evaluation document. Some Governors have also arranged to attend, with Mrs McMurray, a cluster meeting looking at Extended Services provision.
If you have any questions about the work of the Governors, please feel free to contact Clare Webb, or any of the Governors, through school.
