Craft Morning
The School Association would like to thank everyone who supported this event last Saturday. There were lots of lovely crafts to try and refreshments were readily available. The next exciting fund raiser will be the Christmas Fair on Friday 14th December in the school hall from 6pm until 8pm.
Multi skills
The KS1 children have been taking Part in multi skills sessions during their PE lessons. They have three more on Monday 12th, 19th and 26th November. The sessions have been organised by Mrs Gill and are run by Dave Lucas.
SCHOOL UNIFORM
Apologies to those of you who came to look through the items of uniform in the lost property boxes last Tuesday. They will be in the school hall next Tuesday. There are still quite a few garments that do not have names in them and it does make finding the owner very difficult. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
NIT ALERT!
Nits are still about!
School Council
The school council met on Tuesday and have already come up with some very good ideas. There is a multi coloured box at each base for children to put their suggestions in but they should make sure that they include their name and year group on the paper. Some recent ideas were; a buffet day, an athletics day where you visit a local stadium, a yummy day! and a gym day.
At the moment, we are looking at things to do during wet playtimes. Some ideas are jigsaws, drawing equipment and DVDs.
School council would welcome your ideas.
Christmas Nativity '07
Next Tuesday, during our singing assembly, we will be announcing which children will be playing the characters in our Nativity. All the Reception children will be playing a part and some of the Y1 and Y2 children will also be asked to pay a part too. We have started our singing sessions and the choir and the orchestra have also begun to rehearse their songs and music. This year there will be two evening performances on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th December starting at 6pm, St. Peter's Church, Dumbleton.
We hope that you will be able to join us.
Alderton Acorns Christmas Fayre
Alderton Acorns are holding a Christmas Fayre at Dumbleton Hall on Monday 12th November from 7.30pm.
Lots of lovely stalls to browse through and shop for those early Christmas presents.
