We would like to raise money for this charity on Friday 5th October. If you would like to take part please bring in £1 to school on October 5th and you will then be able to wear your jeans to school. Please note that children should wear shirts and sweatshirts as normal on that day.
Book Fair
A reminder that the Book Fair will be open in the school hall on Monday 8th, Tuesday 9th Wednesday 10th October from the end of the school day until 4pm. Competition entries will need to be in school by Monday 8th October. Winners will be announced on Tuesday9th October.
HARVEST FESTIVAL
HARVEST FESTIVAL will be held in St. Peter's Church, Dumbleton on Friday 5th October at 2pm. You might like to send your child with fresh, tinned or packet produce. The donations will be sent to a charity for the homeless in Cheltenham. You are very welcome to join us. The KS2 choir will be singing together for the first time during our service.
House Collages
Thank you for the lovely collage materials that were sent in last Tuesday. The children completed their house collages under the guidance of their house and vice captains. The works of art will be on display at the KS1 base.
We would like to decorate the church windowsills for our Harvest Festival next week. If you have any foliage, or interesting produce that we could use, could you please send your contribution in to either base or take to Dumbleton church on Thursday 4th October. Many thanks.
CHURCH SERVICE
This Sunday, at 10.30am, there will be a special service in St Peter?s Church, Dumbleton. There will be a re-dedication of the newly restored church organ. The Winchcombe church choir will be joining the Dumbleton and Alderton choir and will add to the vocal celebrations. Refreshments will be available after the service. EVERYONE IS VERY WELCOME.
Shirts for Painting
If you are clearing out your wardrobes, we would appreciate any long sleeved, adult shirts that the KS2 children can use as painting aprons. Thanks.
Alderton Pony, Dog and Pet Show
Only hours to go before the start of this fantastic event. Prepare your pets, polish those puppies, groom those guinea pigs and make your way to the field kindly provided for the day by Mr Gareth Watkins. And if by chance you are baking this evening, all donations to the cake stall will be very welcome on the day, unless you have the culinary skills of Mrs Braham - in which case you will do as Helen Mirren did in 'Calendar Girls' and buy your sponge cake from M&S! Enjoy your day out and have fun.
