HEADLICE

You will receive a separate notice re headlice.  In addition to checking your child’s hair, it would be very helpful if long hair is tied back at school.  With many thanks for your help.

 

 

CLEEVE SPORTS & ARTS CENTRE

The Winter Programme (January to April 2009) is displayed on the Junior School notice board.  Please take a look – lots of interesting activities for children and adults, including Belly Dancing, for the brave!

 

 

ADVANCE NOTICE

We have been informed by Severn Trent Water Authority that manhole covers within

School Road, Church Road, Blacksmiths Road and St Margaret’s Road will be replaced between 30 March and 24 April.  This will involve road closures and we will be notified of the actual dates nearer the time.

 

 

LIFE EDUCATION BUS

We are delighted to have booked the Life Education Bus on Monday 2 February.  The bus will be based at the Alderton base therefore the Infants will be coming across at 12.00 pm on Monday 2 February, rather than Tuesday 3 February.  More information will follow.

 

 

FLUTE AND CLARINET LESSONS

A reminder that there will be no music lessons on Tuesday 20 January.

 

 

CHILD CELEBRATIONS

The children and families of Oak Hill School have been invited to attend a special service to mark the launch of the 2009 Year of the Child at Tewkesbury Abbey at 3.00 pm on Sunday 1st February.  Your child will be bringing home more information regarding this event.

 

 

ANTI-BULLYING

The Children and Young People’s Directorate at Gloucestershire County Council has produced information on tackling bullying in Gloucestershire.  Your child will be bringing home a ‘postcard’ which has been produced in order to support parents if they are concerned that their child is being bullied.
