WELCOME BACK FOR THE SPRING TERM

A special welcome to the new pupils, the 2 children who have joined Year 1 and the 1 child who has joined Year 6.

SECURITY MEASURE – INFANT BASE

We would like to remind parents not to use the front door first thing in the morning.  We keep this door locked for security reasons.  Occasionally, children inside the school have been encouraged by those outside to open the door.

Could we ask that parents use the back door, either via the stepping stones or the playground for those with prams?

The front door can be used at any other time. e.g. when collecting children for an appointment.

Please note that children can be left from 8.40 am onwards at both the Infant and Junior base when there will be supervision.  Please do not leave children before that time.

DATES

A few dates for your diaries in the coming months:

Year 3/4 Swimming lessons will commence on Friday 16 January.

Whole School Pancake Race at the Infant Base, Tuesday 24 February.

Bingo, School Hall, Friday 30 January 6.00 pm.

Year 3/4 Drama Day Thursday 26 February – all parents are welcome to come along at 2.30 pm to watch a performance.

Junior Dance Festival at Winchcombe School – evening Wednesday 4 March (more information to follow).

Book Fair – Whole School Fancy Dress Day at the Junior Base, Thursday 19 March

Year 5/6 Residential Visit to Devon – Monday 30 March – Friday 3 April

Children’s Disco, School Hall, Friday 24 April 5.30 – 7.30 pm

GUITAR AND UKULELE LESSONS

Lessons will commence next Friday 16 Jan.
